ASHLEY & NIGEL
Our Story:
Our MAY 2, 2009
Wedding
We met July 4th in 2003. I was one of the DJ's at a party to celebrate the USA's
independence day!! Ashley came as a friend of a friend. We did not know each other
or really of each other. We just happened to show up at the same place. Ashley
thought I was coolest and cutest thing she had ever seen. Plus she thought "I could
say, I'm with the DJ!" Nigel had his eye on her because she was cute and had a great
smile. While I was finishing my set I decided I would go and talk to her when I was
finished. I finished my set and went and sat down next to her. After the initial hi, the first
thing I did was rub her legs because they were very smooth. We sat and talked for a
while and seemed to get along and enjoy each other's company. At one point we went
outside to get some fresh air and talk some more. At some point I said to her "don't get
mad if I do something!' Before Ashley really had a chance to respond I leaned in and
kissed her. She didn't get mad!! We had a great time for the rest of the night while I
continued to DJ and she danced. Before she left we exchanged numbers and expected
a call from each other. That's really where the story begins!
Little did I know the number I was given would not work in a few days. Ashley was
friends with a co-worker of mine and when I went back to work for the next week I kept
talking to him about her. I decided to call her and to my loss the number no longer
worked. Ashley got a new number. What was I supposed to do? I got lucky. I was set to
DJ another party at a friends house on July 18. The mutual friend that I worked with
was smarter then I thought. He was supposed to come to the party with a couple other
friends. Little did I know he was bringing my new favorite interest. Ashley showed up in
an outfit I fell in love with. We talked and talked and talked all night. We played a game
to decide where we would go on vacation together if we could go anywhere in the
world. I found out that she had a lot more experience with vacations then I did. At some
point she met my best friend and now my best man. They took Tequila shots together!
He then came to me and said "she's a keeper, hang on to her" And that's what I have
done.
For all of you that know us, we have had an entertaining ride these past few years.
Moving all over the east coast of the country and keeping our long distance going
strong. Changing jobs, schools and homes, yet we have managed to stay strong and
happy along the way. We can't wait to see what the next 40 years will hold.
